Hello Cubs, seeing as we are all spending a lot of time at home it is important to be safe! So that is why this week you will be doing your home safety badge! In order to do so you’ll likely need an adult to assist you. Follow these steps to complte:
- Find out what to do about a burst water pipe, gas leak or electricity power failure in your home. Then write a short paragraph about this for evidence.
- Identify the common causes of accidents in the home. How they can be prevented? Write another short paragraph or film yourself talking about this.
- Find out how to protect your home from crime. Write down 3 ways you can do this.
- Find out where the nearest public telephone box is to your house.Where else could you make an emergency call if the public telephone wasn’t working? Write down two places that you can make a call from if you don’t have a mobile.
- Make a list of useful emergency numbers.
- Send evidence to the email of your paragraphs and lists.
